Nourishment looks different for everyone,
and every journey deserves support.
Welcome. I’m Marlena Tanner, RDN, CEDS-C.
As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Supervisor, it is my mission to actively guide each of my clients through recovery by providing the support, compassion, and tools needed to achieve a healthy balance of the mind, body, and spirit. I’m dedicated to understanding and empathizing with each individual’s unique perspective and positively influencing their perception of their True Self. The longer I spend in this field, the more drawn I am to giving back by supervising and educating other clinicians to carry on this work. I am proud of the team we have created here at the Yellow House Project.
Through nutrition counseling, you’ll learn how to nourish both your physical body and emotional well-being. Our team supports clients of all ages using a non-diet, individualized approach.
In addition to treating all types of eating disorders—including restrictive eating, overeating, and ARFID—we also work with children with pediatric feeding challenges and provide general wellness and health coaching.
And we are the Yellow House Project…
At The Yellow House Project, we bring together decades of clinical experience, deep listening, and highly attuned intuition to support individuals on their journey toward healing their relationship with food and body. Our team specializes in personalized nutrition and mental health counseling. We meet each person where they are, with respect, curiosity, and care, honoring the full complexity of their story. Our work is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and rooted in a weight-inclusive approach that recognizes all bodies as worthy of care and nourishment.
For Clients
No struggle is too big or too small. Whether you’re navigating challenges with food, body image, or other areas of mental, emotional, or physical health, you are welcome here. If your inner sense of self feels clouded by outside expectations, appearance, or past experiences, you’ve come to the right place. We’re here to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity..
For Families
Support is essential—at any stage of treatment and for any diagnosis. Whether a child is navigating an eating disorder, anxiety, ARFID, neurodivergence, or other health and behavioral concerns, we recognize that healing doesn't happen in isolation. Drawing from Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Responsive Feeding, we work closely with families to strengthen attunement, reduce mealtime stress, and promote a sense of safety around food and body.
For Providers
We welcome referrals from therapists, physicians, and healthcare providers supporting clients with eating disorders, feeding challenges, or other nutrition-related concerns. We value collaboration and see ourselves as part of a client’s broader care team. With regular communication and a shared commitment to compassionate, evidence-informed care, we aim to support both clients and providers in promoting healing and continuity.
Insurance We Accept
Our team is pleased to work with a variety of insurances and we have more contracts underway.

“Dietitians who are caring and skilled at connecting with patients, who have a mastery in the field of disordered eating and body image, and who know their stuff regarding physiology, and hard nutrition science are rare. Marlena Tanner has that incredible blend, alongside a thorough follow through with each patient. Her track record for helping patients through to the next stage of recovery or healing is phenomenal.”
