Cathy Vee (Volpe) is an Eating Disorder Recovery Coach having received comprehensive training through the Carolyn Costin Institute (CCI). Home | Carolyn Costin Institute (carolyn-costin.com). Carolyn Costin is an icon in the Eating Disorder Treatment field, having founded Monte Nido, one of the first residential treatment centers in the USA. She has written many books - including 8 Keys to Eating Disorder Recovery (which is foundational in CCI Coach Training). One of the tenets of CCI is that people can (and do) make a full recover from an eating disorder at any age. It is useful to have a supportive person in your corner and to have something to recover TO (not just from).

Cathy is a mature woman who recovered from restrictive anorexia and binge eating and has gone on to have a very happy, full and healthy life. After more than four decades of a career in business (staffing), Cathy retired and is now looking to give back to those who want to achieve the benefits of full recovery from their eating disorder and put priority on good health.

As an Intern with CCI, she offers her services pro bono (no fee to client). In addition, all her services are virtual.

How can a Recovery Coach help?

Cathy explains:

"A Recovery Coach is not a therapist nor dietician. My role as Recovery Coach is different.

What I can do for a client:

* provide support to an individual on an as needed basis - day or night

* be available to talk when you are feeling particularly vulnerable to acting on an eating disorder urge

* help with goal setting tailored to what behaviors you most want to change and why.

* educate you on how your healthy self can best dialogue with your eating disorder self.

* provide meal support, restaurant and coaching

It would be my honor and privilege to help you with your journey to full recovery."
